多治見市陶磁器意匠研究所で陶芸を学び、25歳で工房を構え活動を始めた鈴木。志野という固定概念に囚われず、長石の可能性を最大限に活かした独自の志野を展開する。“僕が思う志野は化学の“長石釉“ではなく長石そのもの。どんな長石を選ぶのか、どんな風に長石を料理するのかで表現方法は変わる” 今までご法度とされていた上絵を施した志野や、長石をそのまま雲のようにつけたオブジェなど、自分がおもしろいと思う志野の魅力をシンプルに作品に表現する。2018年には工房を可児郡に移し、2020年に煉瓦を使わず2,000個の土の塊を一から手で作り薪窯を完成させ作品の幅をまた大きく広げた。新しい志野の魅力を世界に発信し続ける、鈴木伸治の迫力ある作品群をぜひお愉しみください。 Suzuki studied ceramics at the Tajimi City Ceramic Design Institute, and at the age of 25, he set up his own studio and began his activities.Not being bound by the stereotypes of Shino, he develops his own unique Shino by maximizing the potential of feldspar. "I think Shino is not a phenomenology "feldspar glaze" but feldspar itself. The way of expression depends on what kind of feldspar you choose and how you cook feldspar."
